Spread, not concentrated

The Phenom 300 and 300E turn up on our board from a wider range of operators than any other light jet, on both sides of the Atlantic. Chicago to Naples and West Palm Beach to Teterboro are as close as it gets to a habit, and even those are occasional. Athens to Thessaloniki shows the European side.

Why it matters: when one operator dominates a type, that type's empty legs live or die by one company's schedule. The Phenom's come from many independent decisions, which makes its pattern closer to a real market than most of what we record.

Late notice

A Phenom empty leg tends to be published inside the window where most travellers have already made other plans, and a fair share vanish within a day of appearing. The record block above gives the current median. On this aircraft an alert on your route is worth more than a habit of checking.

Seats: the listing beats the brochure

The published configuration seats seven. Operators frequently list eight. Cabin layouts differ, some aircraft have a belted lavatory seat, and the number on a listing is the number the operator will sell. We publish what they publish, so trust the seat count on the individual flight over the figure for the type. Specification: Phenom 300, GlobalAir.

Embraer Phenom 300: specification and background

Embraer entered the light jet market with the Phenom 300 in 2009 and has led its class in deliveries most years since. Pratt & Whitney PW535E engines, an oval cabin with a proper lavatory, a 2,000 nm range and single pilot certification made it the light jet of choice for fractional programmes and charter fleets alike; the 300E of 2018 revised the interior and the 300E of 2020 added more speed and range. The spread of operators on this board reflects how widely it sold.
