Olbia is the airport for the Costa Smeralda, which gives it one of the most concentrated seasons in the Mediterranean: quiet for nine months, then flat out for three. That compression is what generates empty leg flights here — aircraft arrive full in July and August and have to be repositioned out.

• Olbia Costa Smeralda (OLB) — ten minutes from Olbia and around forty from Porto Cervo.
• Cagliari (CAG) and Figari (FSC) — cover the south of Sardinia and southern Corsica respectively, and appear as separate listings.

In peak weeks Olbia is slot-constrained and parking is limited, so operators sometimes reposition the aircraft out the same day.
