A small country with the most honest price list on the board

Belgium punches far above its size on this board. It has 106 upcoming empty legs, 57 leaving and 49 arriving, and not one of them domestic: the country is too small to fly across, so every leg here is international. 65 of the 106 carry a published price, the highest share of any country we cover apart from South Africa.
Three fields carry the whole country. Wevelgem, the business airport at Kortrijk near the French border, is on 60 legs. Brussels is on 27 and Antwerp on 18. The corridors run south: Cannes to Wevelgem five times, Wevelgem to Ibiza four, Antwerp to Nice three, Wevelgem to Toulon three.
It is one operator's light-jet fleet, which is why the prices are so consistent. The Cessna Citation CJ4 Gen 2 is on 58 of the 106 legs, the XLS on 13, the CJ2+ on 10. Across the 60 priced in euros the median aircraft is 5,200 and the median seat 583 euros, under the whole-board figure of 622. We have recorded 448 legs touching Belgium since the end of July.

An empty leg is a flight a charter operator has to make anyway, to position an aircraft for a booking or to bring it home afterwards, sold at a discount because the alternative is flying it empty. The operator sets the route, the date and the aircraft. You fit into a flight that already exists, and it is one way: there is no return leg and no such thing as a return seat.
Everything on this page comes from Belgian legs that operators published on their own websites. We read those sites several times a day and record each leg exactly as listed, route, date, aircraft, seats and the operator's own price where they gave one. We do not read brokers, we take no commission and enquiries go straight to the operator. A leg counts for Belgium when either end resolves to a Belgian airport, first by the airport code the operator gave and then by the city name, so a leg written as an airport name still lands in the right country.

South, mostly. Cannes, Ibiza, Nice and Toulon are the most repeated destinations, with London, Milan and Pécs behind them. There are no domestic empty legs inside Belgium.
