Cagliari is the capital of Sardinia and the way into the southern half of the island: Chia, Villasimius, Pula and the Costa del Sud. It is a quieter private aviation market than Olbia in the north, and a year-round one rather than a purely seasonal one.
The board shows Nice most often, then Venice, Olbia, Rome and Zurich. The Hawker 900XP appears more than any other type. Note Olbia in that list: aircraft move between the two ends of Sardinia often enough to show up in four weeks of data.
Sardinia is bigger than it looks. Cagliari and Olbia are half a day apart by road, so a leg into the wrong end of the island is not a small inconvenience.

Between 31 July and 27 August 2026 we recorded 25 empty leg flights touching Cagliari: 15 departing, 10 arriving, across 16 partner airports. The airports that came up most were Nice (5), Venice (3), Olbia (2), Rome (2). 8 different aircraft types appeared, most often the Hawker 900XP (7), the Legacy 650 (3), the Citation XLS/XLS+ (2).
Nice five times, and Olbia twice. Southern Sardinia talks to the Riviera more than it talks to the north of its own island.
