Why this route produces empty legs

Nice is the second most frequent destination we have recorded out of Antwerp, seven listings out of 99, behind Ibiza at 20. Read the other way round, Antwerp is the fourth largest source of arrivals into Nice out of 62 origins, behind Olbia at ten and Ibiza and Milan at eight each. The sector is about 465 nautical miles.

Antwerp Deurne is a small field close to the centre of a city with an unusual amount of based business aviation for its size, and that traffic runs south. The aircraft fly down full and come back for the next job, or go down empty to collect, and either way one of the two legs has nobody in it.

Every one of the six movements here is ASL Group, which is the thing to know before you read the table. This is one operator running a route it clearly runs often, not six independent aircraft, and ASL publishes no price, no tail number and no block time on any of its 513 listings in our record. The seat count is the only thing it tells you about the aircraft.

What that seat count shows is a ladder rather than one aeroplane. Four types across six movements: a four seat Cessna Citation Mustang three times, a five seat Cessna CitationJet CJ1+, a seven seat Cessna C25A CJ2+ and an eight seat Cessna Citation XLS+. The Mustang is the workhorse, and 12 September is two separate aircraft on one day, a CJ1+ and a Mustang, which is two movements and not one listing counted twice.

When they show up

Through the late season. All six movements departed between 14 August and 2 October 2026 and the record holds nothing on this corridor after that, so unlike Wevelgem to Cannes this one does not visibly run into November. Whether that is the route stopping or the operator simply not publishing that far ahead, our data cannot tell you.

Notice runs from four days to a month. The shortest was the Cessna Citation XLS+ on 27 September at four days, the longest the Cessna Citation Mustang on 26 September at 30. Nothing is open on this corridor as this page is built, which on a route producing roughly one movement a week means the alert is worth more than checking the page.

The airports on this route

Antwerp Deurne is closer to the middle of Antwerp than Brussels airport is to the middle of Brussels, and for most of Flanders it is the shorter total journey even though Brussels is the bigger name. At the far end, Nice is the practical arrival for the whole Riviera: Cannes-Mandelieu is nearer to Cannes itself but its runway rules out the larger aircraft.

This is a record, not availability. These are the legs we have recorded on this corridor, read when you opened this page, kept so the route has a history you can judge it by. None of them is bookable from this table. What is actually open right now is the live list above, and if it is empty the route alert is the way to catch the next one.

Antwerp to Nice in the record

Every leg we have recorded between Antwerp and Nice, in either direction, since 30 July 2026, whether it is still on the board or not. A leg leaves the board when the operator stops publishing it, and we cannot tell from outside whether it was sold or withdrawn, so these are counts of what was listed, not of what flew.

Legs by departure month

One bar per calendar month, from the first month in our record to the furthest date an operator has published so far. Grey bars are months already past, gold is this month and the months ahead. A blank month is a month we have no record for, and before August 2026 that means we were not yet recording. The months ahead hold only what operators have published up to now, and most empty legs appear days or weeks before departure, so those bars will keep growing. The shape says how far ahead operators publish, not how busy a month will be.

Each row is a pair of airports as the operator named them, in the direction flown. Both directions of the corridor are counted. An operator that names only the city leaves us the city, which is why some rows are city names.

Before you book

The price on a card is the operator's figure for the whole aircraft. What that comes to per seat, across every type we see, is in how much an empty leg private jet costs.

No operator on this corridor publishes a price, because there is only one operator on it and ASL Group publishes no figure anywhere in the 513 listings we hold from it. Every leg here says price on request, so the number comes from the operator when you ask and we show nothing rather than guess.

ASL publishes no block time on this route either, so the table below has nothing to say about time in the air. For scale, the sector is about 465 nautical miles, and a four seat Cessna Citation Mustang and an eight seat Cessna Citation XLS+ will not cover it in the same time.

The aircraft is the decision to make here rather than the price. Three of the six movements are the Cessna Citation Mustang at four seats, which is the smallest cabin on this corridor and a long way from the eight seat Cessna Citation XLS+ at the other end of the ladder. Four people with light bags will find the Mustang is what this route most often produces; six people will find most of it does not fit.

One data note, stated because it is visible in the record rather than hidden. ASL wrote the same 2 October Mustang two ways, as Cessna C510 Citation Mustang and as Cessna Citation Mustang, and one of the two carried no seat count. The table below shows it once. Nice back to Antwerp is in our record but folds to three movements, so there is no reverse page. Ask the operator whether the departure time can still move, which cabin you are actually getting, and what happens if the paid flight that created this empty leg falls through.
