A 1990s light jet doing 1990s light jet work: hour long hops around Florida, most of them starting at Miami's executive airport.

Opa Locka to Tampa. Opa Locka to Jacksonville. Opa Locka to Orlando. The 400A's empty legs are Florida intrastate sectors an hour or less long, and the field it keeps coming home to is Miami's. If you travel within Florida and can be flexible on the day, this is the aircraft to watch.
The 400A gives more notice than most light jets and then stays on the board for less time than most. Put together: you will usually see it coming, but once it is up it does not hang around. Prices are seldom published on this type.
The Beechjet 400A, the Hawker 400XP and the Nextant 400XT are one Mitsubishi derived airframe at three points in its life: the original, the Raytheon rebrand after 2003, and the re-engined conversion. We keep them on separate pages because operators list them separately and, in our record, they behave differently, the 400XP's listings in particular lasting a fraction as long as the 400A's.
Specification: Beechjet 400A, GlobalAir. Production of the 400A ran from 1990 to 2003, so every one flying is over twenty years old.
The Beechjet began as the Mitsubishi MU-300 Diamond, which first flew in 1978; Beech bought the programme in 1985 and the 400A of 1990 added a longer cabin, more fuel and Collins Pro Line 4 avionics. It became the Hawker 400XP in 2003 and was built until 2009, with over 700 of the family made. Many 400As fly charter in Florida and the American southeast, which this board reflects.
