One way empty legs between Van Nuys and Scottsdale, exactly as the operators list them. The operator confirms availability and the price with you directly.
Straight line distance between the two cities. Actual routing and flight time depend on the aircraft and the airports.
Two general aviation fields with a large city behind each of them, one in the San Fernando Valley and one in the north east of the Phoenix valley, 330 nautical miles apart. Of the 141 departures we have recorded from Van Nuys, to 51 different destinations, Teterboro leads on nineteen and Las Vegas follows on sixteen. Scottsdale is fifth on six, behind San Francisco International on nine and San Jose on eight.
The flow is lopsided and the fuller direction is the other one. We have nine recorded legs from Scottsdale to Van Nuys against six coming this way, and Scottsdale is the busier producer in general, with 145 recorded departures to 71 destinations against 115 arrivals from 66 origins. If your dates are open either way, read this page against Scottsdale to Van Nuys first.
Four operators and five aircraft types across five legs, which is as varied as a corridor this size gets on our board. Silver Air lists a Cessna Citation CJ3 and a Gulfstream G550, Sun Air Jets a Gulfstream G200, Pinnacle Aviation Charter a Gulfstream G280 and Jet OUT a Cessna Citation CJ4. Published cabins run from seven seats to fourteen, so on this corridor the aircraft decides more than the route does.
One published price on five legs, and it has a counterpart going the other way on the same airframe. Pinnacle Aviation Charter listed its Gulfstream G280, tail N280JM, at USD 6,000 from Van Nuys to Scottsdale on 13 October, and listed the same aircraft at USD 7,300 from Scottsdale to Van Nuys on 6 October. Those are the operator own two figures for the whole aircraft over the same ground in opposite directions, USD 1,300 apart.
Six listings on six dates, which fold to five movements, running from late September to December. The Sun Air Jets Gulfstream G200 was published for 3 October, left the board in the 25 September scrape and reappeared in that same scrape as 4 October, same operator, same type, same ten seats, same 1 hour 6 minute block. That is one aircraft moved by a day rather than two legs, and the table below carries the current date.
Notice runs from nothing to more than three months. Measured from the day each listing entered our record to its departure, the five gave 0, 5, 9, 27 and 102 days. The Silver Air Citation CJ3 appeared on the morning it flies and the Silver Air Gulfstream G550 has been on the board since 1 September for a 12 December departure, so neither checking the page nor waiting on the alert covers this corridor on its own.
Approximate corridor between Van Nuys and Scottsdale. Operators fly the sector direct; the airports each listing uses are shown on the flight itself.
Every one of the five listings names KVNY and KSDL, so the computed distance on this page uses the pair the operators themselves publish and nothing here rests on a city label. Seat counts are published on all five and they are seven, eight, eight, ten and fourteen.

Every leg we have recorded between Van Nuys and Scottsdale, in either direction, since 30 July 2026, whether it is still on the board or not. A leg leaves the board when the operator stops publishing it, and we cannot tell from outside whether it was sold or withdrawn, so these are counts of what was listed, not of what flew.
One bar per calendar month, from the first month in our record to the furthest date an operator has published so far. Grey bars are months already past, gold is this month and the months ahead. A blank month is a month we have no record for, and before August 2026 that means we were not yet recording. The months ahead hold only what operators have published up to now, and most empty legs appear days or weeks before departure, so those bars will keep growing. The shape says how far ahead operators publish, not how busy a month will be.

Each row is a pair of airports as the operator named them, in the direction flown. Both directions of the corridor are counted. An operator that names only the city leaves us the city, which is why some rows are city names.
The price on a card is the operator's figure for the whole aircraft. What that comes to per seat, across every type we see, is in how much an empty leg private jet costs.
One of the five carries a published price: USD 6,000 on the Pinnacle Aviation Charter Gulfstream G280 on 13 October, which is the operator figure for the whole aircraft and not a per seat fare. The other four say price on request, and two of those are the largest cabins on the corridor, a fourteen seat Gulfstream G550 and a ten seat Gulfstream G200.
Only one listing publishes a tail number, the same Pinnacle G280, N280JM. The rest name an operator and a type and nothing that identifies the airframe, so if the particular aircraft matters to you this is a corridor where you have to ask.
Four of the five publish a block time and they cluster tightly: 1 hour on the Gulfstream G280, 1 hour 6 minutes on the Gulfstream G200, and 1 hour 12 minutes on both Silver Air aircraft. The Jet OUT Citation CJ4 publishes none. Going the other way the same G280 is listed at 1 hour 6 minutes, six minutes longer.
Ask the operator three things: whether the departure time can still move, what happens if the paid flight that created this empty leg falls through, and, if your dates are flexible, whether the Scottsdale to Van Nuys direction suits, because there are nine legs on record that way against six on this one.
Van Nuys to Scottsdale empty legs are posted days ahead, not months. Leave your email and we watch both directions for you, Van Nuys to Scottsdale and Scottsdale to Van Nuys, and send you nothing else.
