Pittsburgh to Cape Cod, Pittsburgh to Erie, Dallas to Pittsburgh. The 400XP on this board is an aircraft with a home, and it flies sectors of an hour or two to the Great Lakes, New England and the Gulf coast and returns. Almost none of it leaves the United States.
Compare the notice and time on the board figures above with any other page on this site. The 400XP is at the fast end of both, and published prices are all but unknown on it. The realistic way to catch one is to set the alert on the route you care about and answer the operator the same day it fires.
The 400XP is the Raytheon era name for the Beechjet 400A, itself a Mitsubishi Diamond by origin; the Nextant 400XT is the same fuselage re-engined. They are separate pages because operators list them separately and, on our board, they do not behave alike: the 400A gives more notice and lingers longer. Specification: Hawker 400XP, GlobalAir. The line was built from 1978 to 2009.
The 400XP is the Raytheon era name, from 2003, for the Beechjet 400A, which is itself the Mitsubishi Diamond II bought by Beech in 1985. JT15D-5R engines, an eight seat cabin and a 1,500 nm range make it a light jet with a slightly larger cabin than most, and its short sectors out of Pittsburgh on this board are typical of how the fleet is used. Production of the whole 400 family ended in 2009.
