One way empty legs between Columbus and Indianapolis, exactly as the operators list them. Prices are the operator's own, not a marked up quote.
Straight line distance between the two cities. Actual routing and flight time depend on the aircraft and the airports.
Columbus to Indianapolis is about 155 nautical miles and every one of the eight recorded legs publishes the same block time, 42 minutes. It is short enough that the operator is moving the airframe and crew rather than selling distance, and the record reads that way: eight legs, two operators, three dates.
Three different Indianapolis airports and two different Columbus ones. Four legs land at Indianapolis Executive (KTYQ) to the north, three at Indianapolis Regional (KMQJ) to the east and one at Indianapolis International (KIND). Seven leave John Glenn Columbus International (KCMH) and one leaves Ohio State University Airport (KOSU). On a sector this short the pair of fields you get decides most of the door to door time.
Indianapolis is the joint largest destination out of Columbus. Of the 84 legs we have recorded leaving Columbus, eight go to Indianapolis and eight to Teterboro, with Chicago third on six. Into Indianapolis, 47 legs are recorded in total and Columbus is the largest single origin with eight of them, ahead of Panama City Beach on four and Bedford on three.
Nothing at all runs the other way in our record. Not one Indianapolis to Columbus leg has been listed, which is why there is no reverse page. The nearest thing we hold from the Indianapolis end is Indianapolis to Nashville, a different corridor with eight recorded legs of its own.
Eight legs on three dates between 4 and 17 October 2026, and seven of the eight are two fleet listings. Jetvia put four Learjet 60s on 13 October and three more on 17 October, each one a different tail. The eighth is a single Sky Quest Hawker 900XP on 4 October.
None of the eight was on the board when this page was built. The Sky Quest leg has flown and both Jetvia blocks have come off the board. Four tails on one date is an operator advertising a day it can cover rather than four aircraft going, which is worth knowing before you read eight legs as eight chances.
Approximate corridor between Columbus and Indianapolis. Operators fly the sector direct; the airports each listing uses are shown on the flight itself.
The three Indianapolis fields sit on three different sides of the city, so on a 42 minute flight the arrival airport decides most of the journey. Executive suits Carmel, Westfield and the northern suburbs, Regional the east side, International downtown and anywhere south. Ask which one you are landing at before you take the leg.
Between 31 July and 13 October 2026 we recorded 8 empty legs from Columbus to Indianapolis. Seven of them carried a published price, all USD 4,800 for the whole aircraft, and all seven are Jetvia Learjet 60s. That figure appears on 130 of Jetvia's listings across 65 different airport pairs, so it is its standing number for that aircraft rather than a quote for this sector. The single Sky Quest leg says on request. All eight publish a block time of 42 minutes, a seat count and a tail number. Seats are seven on the Learjet 60s and nine on the Hawker 900XP, and the seven Jetvia legs run on five distinct tails.
| Departure | Aircraft | Seats | Operator's published price | Status |

| 17 Oct 2026 | Bombardier Learjet 60 | 7 | USD 4,800 | No longer listed |
Seven of the eight legs carry a published price and all seven are the same figure, USD 4,800 for the whole aircraft. Every one is a Jetvia Bombardier Learjet 60. The single Sky Quest Hawker 900XP says on request.
The USD 4,800 is a standing number. Jetvia has 2,608 recorded listings with us across 1,630 airport pairs and prices 2,482 of them using only 61 distinct figures. USD 4,800 is one of them and it appears on 130 listings across 65 different airport pairs, every one a Learjet 60. It is the aircraft's price, not the sector's.
Sky Quest prices very little of what it lists. We have 246 recorded listings from it across 153 airport pairs and a figure on 46 of them, using 18 different numbers. Its Hawker 900XP here is one of the 200 that say on request, and it is also the only nine seat aircraft among the eight legs.
The two Jetvia dates carry four tails and three tails respectively, so the question to ask is whether a specific aircraft is going or whether the operator is offering a day. Ask as well whether the departure time can still move, which Indianapolis field you are landing at, and what happens if the paid flight that created the empty leg falls through. Prices here are in US dollars as the operator published them, for the whole aircraft.
