Why this route produces empty legs

Of the twelve destinations Palm Springs reaches in our record, only Calgary outranks Las Vegas. We hold 37 listings leaving Palm Springs and 27 arriving, so more leaves the Coachella Valley than comes into it, and Las Vegas takes the second largest share of what leaves.

The sector is about 150 nautical miles and every listing here that publishes a block time publishes the same one, 36 minutes. Short sectors like this one are where an operator tends to reposition rather than leave an aircraft parked overnight, and that is what produces the empty leg.

Four of the seven movements below carry a published price, which is rare on a corridor this size and comes down to who flies it. Prestige Air Group publishes a price, a tail number and a block time on every one of its 74 listings in our record. Jetvia publishes a price on 1,107 of its 1,158 and a tail number on all of them.

The other three are Thrive Aviation, which has never published a price, a tail number or a block time on any of its 1,039 listings in our record, across ten aircraft types. Those three rows show a date, an operator and a type and nothing else, and they are also the three that carry no airport code at either end.

When they show up

Seven movements between 20 September and 18 December 2026. Four of them fell inside eleven days at the end of September, then the corridor goes quiet until 11 October and again until the middle of December.

Notice splits cleanly by operator, and it is worth knowing which kind you are waiting for. The four priced legs appeared three to eight days before departure: the 22 September Learjet 60 entered our record on 19 September. The three Thrive legs appeared seven to fifteen weeks out: the 17 December Citation Longitude has been listed since 1 September. Short notice on this route means a priced aircraft, long notice means a price on request.

The route on a map

The airports on this route

Read the airport lines carefully on this one, because both ends are split. Two coded listings leave Palm Springs International and two leave Jacqueline Cochran Regional at Thermal, which is a different airport 21 nautical miles down the valley, and the three Thrive listings name no airport at all. At the Las Vegas end three of the four coded listings arrive at Henderson Executive rather than Harry Reid. The distance on this page is Palm Springs International to Harry Reid because that is the pair the two city names denote, and the alternatives move it by no more than about five nautical miles either way. Ask the operator which field before you plan the drive.

This is a record, not availability. These are the legs we have recorded on this corridor, read when you opened this page, kept so the route has a history you can judge it by. None of them is bookable from this table. What is actually open right now is the live list above, and if it is empty the route alert is the way to catch the next one.

Palm Springs to Las Vegas in the record

Every leg we have recorded between Palm Springs and Las Vegas, in either direction, since 30 July 2026, whether it is still on the board or not. A leg leaves the board when the operator stops publishing it, and we cannot tell from outside whether it was sold or withdrawn, so these are counts of what was listed, not of what flew.

Legs by departure month

One bar per calendar month, from the first month in our record to the furthest date an operator has published so far. Grey bars are months already past, gold is this month and the months ahead. A blank month is a month we have no record for, and before August 2026 that means we were not yet recording. The months ahead hold only what operators have published up to now, and most empty legs appear days or weeks before departure, so those bars will keep growing. The shape says how far ahead operators publish, not how busy a month will be.

Each row is a pair of airports as the operator named them, in the direction flown. Both directions of the corridor are counted. An operator that names only the city leaves us the city, which is why some rows are city names.

Before you book

The price on a card is the operator's figure for the whole aircraft. What that comes to per seat, across every type we see, is in how much an empty leg private jet costs.

Four of the seven carry a published price and the spread is narrow: USD 4,000 three times and USD 3,600 once. That is a 400 dollar gap across two operators on the same sector, which is unusually tight for this site.

The interesting part is which way round it falls. The USD 3,600 buys the larger aircraft. It is a Jetvia Bombardier Learjet 60, tail N208BH, listed at seven seats. The three USD 4,000 legs are six seat Beechcraft Premier 1As, tail N969RE twice on 20 and 24 September and N22VK on 30 September. So on this corridor the cheaper published figure is also the bigger cabin. The table below spells that type two ways, Premier 1A twice and Beechcraft Premier IA once, because that is how the operator spells it in the two listings.

Read the USD 4,000 as an operator rate rather than a route rate. It is the same figure on two different airframes, and Prestige Air Group publishes a price on all 74 of its listings in our record, so its numbers are a rate card rather than a negotiation. All four priced legs also publish the same 36 minute block time.

The three legs with no price are Thrive Aviation, a Cessna Citation Sovereign+ twice and a Cessna Citation Longitude, both of them larger again than anything else here. Thrive publishes no figure anywhere in our record, so on those three the price comes from the operator when you ask and we show nothing rather than guess.

Las Vegas to Palm Springs does exist in our record but it folds to fewer than five movements, so there is no reverse page to link to. If you want the other direction, the route alert is the way to catch it.
