Why this route produces empty legs

Las Vegas is the third busiest destination Dallas produces on our board, and the first one outside Texas. Of the 105 departures we have recorded from Dallas, to 57 different destinations, Houston takes 21 and Austin takes eleven. Las Vegas is next on five, ahead of Aspen and Colorado Springs on four each.

The flow runs one way and that is the whole reason this corridor exists. We have five recorded legs from Dallas to Las Vegas and only two coming back, so an aircraft that goes out here more often than not has a paid job to get home to. At 925 nautical miles this is also by far the longest of the Texas corridors we publish, more than four times the 205 nautical miles from Dallas to Houston.

Three operators and four aircraft types on five legs. Thrive Aviation lists three, a Gulfstream G450 and a Cessna Citation Sovereign+ twice, and publishes nothing beyond the operator, the type and the date. Jetvia lists a Bombardier Learjet 60 and Lone Star Aviators a Cessna Citation Ultra, and both of those publish a price, a seat count, a tail number and a block time.

The two published prices are USD 16,800 and USD 10,300, and the gap between them is the most useful thing on this page. Jetvia wants USD 16,800 for a seven seat Learjet 60 on 3 October and Lone Star Aviators wants USD 10,300 for a seven seat Citation Ultra on 19 October, over identical ground with identical published cabins. That is USD 6,500 between two listings that look the same on paper.

When they show up

Five legs on five dates across two and a half months, from 9 August to 19 October 2026, never more than one in a week. Three have already flown, one is still on the board and one is no longer listed.

Notice runs from a day to a month. Measured from the day each listing entered our record to its departure, the five gave 1, 3, 5, 8 and 33 days. The 14 September Citation Sovereign+ came in the day before it flew and the 19 October Citation Ultra was up on 16 September, and then came off the board again the next morning. On a corridor that produces about two legs a month, the alert is worth more than the page.

The airports on this route

Two of the five listings name both ends by ICAO code and both say KDAL to KLAS, so the computed distance on this page uses Dallas Love Field. The other three name only the two cities. This matters more on Dallas than on most cities: our record has legs on four different Dallas fields, KDAL, KADS, KRBD and KTKI, and they are spread across the metroplex, so the field on your listing can change your ground time by an hour.

This is a record, not availability. These are the legs we have recorded on this corridor, read when you opened this page, kept so the route has a history you can judge it by. None of them is bookable from this table. What is actually open right now is the live list above, and if it is empty the route alert is the way to catch the next one.

Dallas to Las Vegas in the record

Every leg we have recorded between Dallas and Las Vegas, in either direction, since 30 July 2026, whether it is still on the board or not. A leg leaves the board when the operator stops publishing it, and we cannot tell from outside whether it was sold or withdrawn, so these are counts of what was listed, not of what flew.

Legs by departure month

One bar per calendar month, from the first month in our record to the furthest date an operator has published so far. Grey bars are months already past, gold is this month and the months ahead. A blank month is a month we have no record for, and before August 2026 that means we were not yet recording. The months ahead hold only what operators have published up to now, and most empty legs appear days or weeks before departure, so those bars will keep growing. The shape says how far ahead operators publish, not how busy a month will be.

Each row is a pair of airports as the operator named them, in the direction flown. Both directions of the corridor are counted. An operator that names only the city leaves us the city, which is why some rows are city names.

Before you book

The price on a card is the operator's figure for the whole aircraft. What that comes to per seat, across every type we see, is in how much an empty leg private jet costs.

Two of the five carry a published price: USD 16,800 on the Jetvia Bombardier Learjet 60 on 3 October and USD 10,300 on the Lone Star Aviators Cessna Citation Ultra on 19 October. Both are the operator figure for the whole aircraft, not a per seat fare, and both aircraft publish seven seats. The other three say price on request.

Those two are the only listings on the corridor that name a tail number, N600SJ on the Learjet and N567RW on the Citation Ultra. N567RW also appears on the Houston to Austin corridor in our record, which is the same operator repositioning the same airframe around Texas.

Two of the five publish a block time: 2 hours 30 minutes on the Learjet 60 and 2 hours 48 minutes on the Citation Ultra. The three Thrive Aviation legs publish none, and no seat count either, which is why three rows of the table below read Not stated in two columns.

Ask the operator three things: whether the departure time can still move, what happens if the paid flight that created this empty leg falls through, and which Dallas field the aircraft is leaving from, because only Love Field appears on this corridor in our record and the other three Dallas fields are a long way from it.
