Why this route produces empty legs

Calgary is where most of what leaves Regina goes. Regina appears in our record with only two other cities: all twelve departures we have recorded from it went to Calgary or Seattle, eight of them to Calgary. Arrivals are almost as narrow, eight from Calgary, six from Seattle and one from Toronto. The sector is 355 nautical miles.

Calgary's side is busier and much broader. Regina is the second busiest source of arrivals into Calgary, eight legs against fifteen from Vancouver and six from Kelowna, out of the sixty arrivals we have recorded there. So this corridor is most of what Regina does and a small part of what Calgary does.

Two operators run it and each flies a single type. Chartright Air Group lists four Bombardier Challenger 300 legs and Air Partners two Cessna Citation Excel legs. No third operator and no third type appears on this corridor in our record, in either direction, and the six legs are spread across those two fleets rather than one aircraft's diary.

Westbound is both dearer and slower than eastbound on the operators' own figures. Chartright publishes CAD 11,200 on both of its priced legs here against CAD 9,500 on both of its priced legs into Regina. Every Challenger 300 leg here publishes 1 hour 6 minutes and both Citation Excel legs 1 hour 12 minutes, six minutes longer in each case than the same operator publishes going the other way.

Both directions, up to 20 flights, with the price exactly as the operator published it.

When they show up

In ones, never in bunches. The six legs run from 12 August to 4 October 2026 and no two share a date. Two have already flown and four are still on the board.

Notice runs from eleven days to forty six. The two Air Partners legs both entered our record on 8 September 2026, fifteen and twenty three days ahead. The four Chartright legs came in separately, on 1 and 7 August and on 14 and 19 August, between eleven and forty six days ahead.

The route on a map

Approximate corridor between Regina and Calgary. Operators fly the sector direct; the airports each listing uses are shown on the flight itself.

The airports on this route

Every one of the six listings names Regina International and Calgary International, so the computed distance on this page uses the pair the operators themselves use. Seat counts are nine on five of the six and eight on the sixth, an Air Partners Citation Excel on 1 October.

This is a record, not availability. These are the legs we have recorded on this corridor, read when you opened this page, kept so the route has a history you can judge it by. None of them is bookable from this table. What is actually open right now is the live list above, and if it is empty the route alert is the way to catch the next one.

Regina to Calgary in the record

Every leg we have recorded between Regina and Calgary, in either direction, since 30 July 2026, whether it is still on the board or not. A leg leaves the board when the operator stops publishing it, and we cannot tell from outside whether it was sold or withdrawn, so these are counts of what was listed, not of what flew.

Legs by departure month

One bar per calendar month, from the first month in our record to the furthest date an operator has published so far. Grey bars are months already past, gold is this month and the months ahead. A blank month is a month we have no record for, and before August 2026 that means we were not yet recording. The months ahead hold only what operators have published up to now, and most empty legs appear days or weeks before departure, so those bars will keep growing. The shape says how far ahead operators publish, not how busy a month will be.

Each row is a pair of airports as the operator named them, in the direction flown. Both directions of the corridor are counted. An operator that names only the city leaves us the city, which is why some rows are city names.

Before you book

The price on a card is the operator's figure for the whole aircraft. What that comes to per seat, across every type we see, is in how much an empty leg private jet costs.

Two of the six carry a published price, both of them Chartright Air Group Challenger 300 legs, and both say CAD 11,200 for the whole aircraft. The other four say price on request: two earlier Challenger 300 legs that have since flown, and both Air Partners Citation Excel legs.

Air Partners publishes no price anywhere in our record, on any of its 30 listings, so the two Citation Excel legs here are the operator's practice rather than something missing from our collection. It does publish a tail number every time: C-FIAP on 23 September and C-GXLI on 1 October.

This is the dearer of the two directions on the one type that is listed both ways. The same operator's Challenger 300 is CAD 11,200 coming into Calgary and CAD 9,500 going out to Regina, and every published block time on this page is six minutes longer than its counterpart on the reverse page.

Ask the operator three things: whether the departure time can still move, what happens if the paid flight that created this empty leg falls through, and, if your dates are open either way, compare with Calgary to Regina first, because the published figure there is CAD 1,700 lower on the same aircraft type.
