One way empty legs between Houston and Toronto, exactly as the operators list them. Prices are the operator's own, not a marked up quote.
Straight line distance between the two cities. Actual routing and flight time depend on the aircraft and the airports.
Houston to Toronto is about 1,125 nautical miles from Houston Hobby to Pearson. The Challenger legs here publish two hours 42 minutes in the air and the Citation Ultra legs three hours 12. It is a domestic length sector that happens to cross a border, and the customs formality at the far end is the part that does not appear in a block time.
One operator accounts for all eight legs. Chartright Air Group, which is based in Toronto, lists every leg we hold on this corridor, on three types: a Bombardier Challenger 300 on four of them, a Challenger 350 on two and a Cessna Citation Ultra on two. A Canadian aircraft that takes a client to Texas has to get home, and that is the shape of this route.
Houston is the fifth largest origin into Toronto on our board, ten of the 245 arrival listings we have recorded, behind Teterboro on 46, Montreal on 28, Sault Ste Marie on 20 and Ottawa on 11. Seen from the Texas end, Toronto is fourth of the 274 departure listings we hold from Houston, after Dallas on 44, Austin on 31 and Fort Worth on 12.
The traffic runs almost entirely north. We hold eight legs in this direction and two records of Toronto to Houston, which is nowhere near the five a corridor has to produce before it earns a page here, so there is no page for the return. The empty aeroplane is going home to Canada rather than coming south.
Eight legs on five dates between 25 September and 28 October 2026, and five of the eight fall in the last ten days of October: one on 20 October, one on 27 October and three on 28 October.
Four were still on the board when this page was built, all of them in that late October cluster. Three have already flown and one was withdrawn. A corridor that puts three legs on a single day and then nothing for a fortnight is one to watch with the route alert rather than by refreshing this page.
Approximate corridor between Houston and Toronto. Operators fly the sector direct; the airports each listing uses are shown on the flight itself.
Pearson on every leg makes the Toronto end predictable. The Houston end is the part to settle before you fly: Hobby and Bush Intercontinental are about 20 nautical miles apart and on opposite sides of the city, which is nothing in the air and a great deal on the ground.
Between 31 July and 15 October 2026 we recorded 8 empty legs from Houston to Toronto. All eight carried a published price, from CAD 14,400 to CAD 23,400 for the whole aircraft, in Canadian dollars, and four distinct figures appear across the three aircraft types. Seven of the eight publish a block time, two hours 42 minutes on the Challenger legs and three hours 12 on the Citation Ultras. Every one publishes a seat count, nine on the Challengers and seven on the Citation Ultra, and none publishes a tail number.
| Departure | Aircraft | Seats | Operator's published price | Status |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 25 Sep 2026 | Bombardier Challenger 300 | 9 | CAD 21,500 | Already flown |
| 25 Sep 2026 | Bombardier Challenger 300 | 9 | CAD 22,400 | Already flown |
| 04 Oct 2026 | Cessna Citation Ultra | 7 | CAD 14,400 | Already flown |
| 20 Oct 2026 | Bombardier Challenger 350 | 9 | CAD 23,400 | On the board now |
| 27 Oct 2026 | Bombardier Challenger 300 | 9 | CAD 22,400 | No longer listed |
| 28 Oct 2026 | Bombardier Challenger 300 | 9 | CAD 22,400 | On the board now |
| 28 Oct 2026 | Bombardier Challenger 350 | 9 | CAD 23,400 | On the board now |
| 28 Oct 2026 | Cessna Citation Ultra | 7 | CAD 14,400 | On the board now |
All eight legs carry a published price and four figures appear among them: CAD 14,400 on the two Citation Ultra legs, CAD 21,500 and CAD 22,400 on the Challenger 300s and CAD 23,400 on the two Challenger 350s.
Two listings went up for 25 September at different prices, one at CAD 21,500 and one at CAD 22,400, both a Challenger 300 with nine seats. We show both because the operator published both. Which figure you would be quoted is a question for Chartright.
Chartright publishes a price on 341 of the 469 listings we have recorded from it, across 179 city pairs, which puts it among the more open operators on this board. Its figures here look route specific rather than a flat fleet rate: the CAD 22,400 appears on seven listings across three pairs, the CAD 14,400 on three across two, and the CAD 23,400 on two, both of them this corridor.
The prices on this route are in Canadian dollars, which is a minority on a board carrying 3,714 priced listings in US dollars and 507 in Canadian. What the figure buys is the whole aircraft, nine seats on the Challengers and seven on the Citation Ultra. Ask which Houston field you are leaving from, whether the time can still move, and what happens if the paid flight that created the empty leg falls through.
