Why this route produces empty legs

Denver is the fourth busiest destination Las Vegas produces on our board. Of 321 recorded departures from Las Vegas to 95 different destinations, Van Nuys and Aspen take the most, Scottsdale is third and Denver is next, ahead of San Jose and Santa Ana.

Five different operators put aircraft on this corridor in eight weeks, which is what separates it from most corridors this size. Thrive Aviation supplies five of the ten movements, and Jet Linx Aviation, Priester Aviation, Jetvia and Prestige Air Group one each. That is not one operator running a shuttle, it is five fleets repositioning independently over the same 530 nautical miles.

The flow runs slightly out of Las Vegas: ten movements this way against eight coming back. Denver is a corporate base and Las Vegas is a destination, so aircraft arrive full and go home empty in both directions, which is why we publish Denver to Las Vegas as well.

The most useful thing in the data is what Jet Linx did on 18 September. The same Cessna Citation XLS, tail N717NB, appears twice on that date: at USD 8,370 under Jet Linx Aviation and at USD 6,846 under its members feed. One aircraft, one flight, two published figures USD 1,524 apart, which is eighteen per cent. Our record holds 148 Jet Linx Aviation listings and 43 under the members name, and seven of those 43 pair exactly with a non member row on the same tail, date and airports. This is one of the seven, so it is a way that operator lists rather than a one off, but it is not what it does on every flight.

When they show up

Ten movements across ten weeks, from 19 August to 20 October 2026, in ones and twos and never more than one in a week. Six have already flown, three are still on the board and one is no longer listed.

Watch the dates move. The Priester Aviation Global 6000, tail N615T, sat on the board as 28 September until 25 September, came off that morning and reappeared the same day as 27 September, same airframe, same 1 hour 18 minute block, with the published cabin changing from sixteen seats to fifteen. That is one aircraft moved by a day, not two flights, and the table below counts it once.

The airports on this route

The Denver end is split and the page says so rather than hiding it. Four of the six coded rows say Centennial and two say Denver International, so the computed distance above uses Centennial, at 530 nautical miles. From Harry Reid to Denver International it is 545. The two fields are 19 nautical miles apart, so the flight time barely moves, but the drive at the far end does: Centennial is on the south side, Denver International is on the north east. Ask the operator which one your listing means.

This is a record, not availability. These are the legs we have recorded on this corridor, read when you opened this page, kept so the route has a history you can judge it by. None of them is bookable from this table. What is actually open right now is the live list above, and if it is empty the route alert is the way to catch the next one.

Las Vegas to Denver in the record

Every leg we have recorded between Las Vegas and Denver, in either direction, since 30 July 2026, whether it is still on the board or not. A leg leaves the board when the operator stops publishing it, and we cannot tell from outside whether it was sold or withdrawn, so these are counts of what was listed, not of what flew.

Legs by departure month

One bar per calendar month, from the first month in our record to the furthest date an operator has published so far. Grey bars are months already past, gold is this month and the months ahead. A blank month is a month we have no record for, and before August 2026 that means we were not yet recording. The months ahead hold only what operators have published up to now, and most empty legs appear days or weeks before departure, so those bars will keep growing. The shape says how far ahead operators publish, not how busy a month will be.

Each row is a pair of airports as the operator named them, in the direction flown. Both directions of the corridor are counted. An operator that names only the city leaves us the city, which is why some rows are city names.

Before you book

The price on a card is the operator's figure for the whole aircraft. What that comes to per seat, across every type we see, is in how much an empty leg private jet costs.

Three of the ten movements carry a published price: USD 8,370 on the Jet Linx Citation XLS on 18 September, USD 9,000 on the Jetvia Bombardier Learjet 60 on 30 September and USD 4,000 on the Prestige Air Group Premier 1A on 20 October. Each is the operator figure for the whole aircraft, not a per seat fare.

The USD 4,000 is not a Las Vegas to Denver rate, it is a Prestige rate. That operator publishes USD 4,000 on 72 of the 74 listings we hold for it, across five airframes and block times from 30 minutes to 2 hours 18 minutes, so the same figure turns up on corridors a third of this length. On this route it buys a six seat Premier 1A, tail N969RE, out of Henderson.

Four of the ten publish a block time and they agree closely: 1 hour 18 minutes on the Global 6000, 1 hour 24 minutes on the Premier 1A and 1 hour 30 minutes on both the Citation XLS and the Learjet 60. Thrive Aviation publishes none of it, no price, no seat count, no tail number and no block time on any of its five, which is why half the rows below read Not stated in three columns. That is what the operator published, not a gap in our collection.

Ask the operator three things: whether the departure time can still move, what happens if the paid flight that created this empty leg falls through, and which Denver field you are landing at.
