One way empty legs between Las Vegas and Santa Barbara, exactly as the operators list them. Prices are the operator's own, not a marked up quote.
Straight line distance between the two cities. Actual routing and flight time depend on the aircraft and the airports.
Las Vegas fills up with aircraft that have to go home, and the California coast is where a lot of them go home to. Santa Barbara Municipal is a sea level field a hundred miles up the coast from Los Angeles, about 250 nautical miles from Harry Reid, and the three listings that publish a block time give fifty four minutes or an hour.
Las Vegas is the largest origin into Santa Barbara on our board, seven legs out of the thirty two we have recorded arriving there, ahead of Carlsbad with six and Scottsdale with four. Two more arrive under the departure airport's own name, Harry Reid, rather than the city's.
Seven legs and seven different aircraft types. Nothing repeats: a Gulfstream G450, a Gulfstream G600, a Cessna Citation CJ3+, a Cessna Citation Longitude, a Bombardier Learjet 60, an Embraer Phenom 300 and a Bombardier Challenger 604. Four operators, and the three listings that state a seat count give seven, nine and ten.
That spread is the useful fact about this corridor. It is not one aircraft on a contract and it is not one operator's shuttle, so what turns up next is genuinely unpredictable in size as well as date.
Seven legs on seven separate dates between 20 August and 27 November 2026. They trickle rather than cluster: one in August, two in September, two in October, and one in each of the two months after. Nothing in our data suggests a day of the week or a season.
Nothing on this corridor was live when this page was built. Five have flown, and two with future departure dates, 23 October and 27 November, were withdrawn before they flew. Both of those were the priced ones, which is worth knowing: on this route the listings that publish a figure have not survived to their departure date.
Approximate corridor between Las Vegas and Santa Barbara. Operators fly the sector direct; the airports each listing uses are shown on the flight itself.
Santa Barbara is quick for the city, Montecito and the wine country inland, and slow for anywhere south of Ventura. If your destination is really Los Angeles, the Van Nuys corridor is the busiest thing leaving Las Vegas on our whole board, and this one is not close to it.
Between 31 July and 21 October 2026 we recorded 7 empty legs from Las Vegas to Santa Barbara. 2 of them carried a published price, from USD 5,400 to USD 7,300 for the whole aircraft. Three of the seven publish a block time, fifty four minutes on two of them and an hour on the third, and those same three are the only ones to publish a seat count.
| Departure | Aircraft | Seats | Operator's published price | Status |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 20 Aug 2026 | Gulfstream G450 | Not stated | On request | Already flown |
| 04 Sep 2026 | Cessna Citation CJ3+ | Not stated | On request | Already flown |
| 17 Sep 2026 | Gulfstream G600 | Not stated | On request | Already flown |
| 06 Oct 2026 | Bombardier Learjet 60 | 7 | On request | Already flown |
| 13 Oct 2026 | Cessna Citation Longitude | Not stated | On request | Already flown |
| 23 Oct 2026 | Embraer Phenom 300 | 9 | USD 5,400 | No longer listed |
| 27 Nov 2026 | Bombardier Challenger 604 | 10 | USD 7,300 | No longer listed |
Two of the seven carry a published price: USD 5,400 for a nine seat Embraer Phenom 300 and USD 7,300 for a ten seat Bombardier Challenger 604. Both figures are the operator's own, for the whole aircraft, never per seat.
The gap between those two numbers is cabin size rather than bargaining. The Phenom is a light jet and the Challenger 604 a large one, and the same corridor was priced by two different operators a month apart.
The other five say price on request, and that follows the operators' practice rather than this route. Jet Methods publishes a figure on all 50 of its listings on this board and Lone Star Aviators on all 623. Thrive Aviation, which posted four of these seven legs, publishes none on any of its 1,547, and Priester Aviation none on any of its 106.
Only three of the seven publish a seat count or a block time, and they are the three from operators that also publish prices or airport codes. The four Thrive Aviation listings name the aircraft and the date and nothing else. Ask the operator for the seat count and the Las Vegas departure field before anything else.
