Why this route produces empty legs

Miami is the largest source of empty legs in our record, 397 departures to 121 destinations, and Nassau is one of four destinations tied in third place at eleven listings, behind Tampa at seventeen and Teterboro at fourteen. The sector is about 160 nautical miles and the operators that publish a block time put it at 36 to 48 minutes.

Nassau is the thin end of this corridor and the lopsided one. We hold 29 arrivals into Lynden Pindling International from ten origins against nineteen departures to eleven, and Miami alone accounts for eleven of those 29 arrivals. No other origin reaches five. This is the Bahamas corridor in our data rather than one of several.

Three operators list the eight movements. Executive Air Services has four, Lone Star Aviators two and Jet OUT two, and they publish almost nothing in common. Lone Star puts a price, a tail number and a block time on all 380 of its listings. Executive Air Services publishes a block time on all 279 of its and no price and no tail on any. Jet OUT publishes no price, no tail and no block time on any of its 1,426.

Five aircraft types and a wide spread of cabin. Three legs are a fourteen seat Gulfstream G-IVSP, which is a heavy jet on a 48 minute hop, and the rest run down through a nine seat Bombardier Challenger 300 to a seven seat Beechcraft Beechjet 400 and a seven seat Cessna Citation Ultra. On a sector this short the aircraft is decided by where it has to be next rather than by the distance.

When they show up

Eight movements on eight separate dates between August and November 2026, and they bunch. Three of them are 23, 24 and 27 September, all the same Executive Air Services Gulfstream G-IVSP sector. Then 5 October, 17 November and 23 November, with single legs back on 4 August and 13 September.

Notice is short at the near dates and long at the far ones. The 24 September leg was first seen on the day it departed. The 23 November Lone Star Citation Ultra was on the board 62 days ahead, which is the longest on the corridor. There is no steady calendar here, so the route alert is worth more than checking back.

The airports on this route

This is an international sector, so Nassau means customs and immigration at Lynden Pindling and passports for everyone on board. At about 160 nautical miles it is the shortest international hop on the site, which means the paperwork and the ground time are a larger share of the trip than the flying. One caveat on the table below: the 13 September Jet OUT leg reached us four times under four different spellings of the two cities, and it is shown here once, as one movement. The distance is measured from Opa Locka Executive because that is the code on every listing.

This is a record, not availability. These are the legs we have recorded on this corridor, read when you opened this page, kept so the route has a history you can judge it by. None of them is bookable from this table. What is actually open right now is the live list above, and if it is empty the route alert is the way to catch the next one.

Miami to Nassau in the record

Every leg we have recorded between Miami and Nassau, in either direction, since 30 July 2026, whether it is still on the board or not. A leg leaves the board when the operator stops publishing it, and we cannot tell from outside whether it was sold or withdrawn, so these are counts of what was listed, not of what flew.

Legs by departure month

One bar per calendar month, from the first month in our record to the furthest date an operator has published so far. Grey bars are months already past, gold is this month and the months ahead. A blank month is a month we have no record for, and before August 2026 that means we were not yet recording. The months ahead hold only what operators have published up to now, and most empty legs appear days or weeks before departure, so those bars will keep growing. The shape says how far ahead operators publish, not how busy a month will be.

Each row is a pair of airports as the operator named them, in the direction flown. Both directions of the corridor are counted. An operator that names only the city leaves us the city, which is why some rows are city names.

Before you book

The price on a card is the operator's figure for the whole aircraft. What that comes to per seat, across every type we see, is in how much an empty leg private jet costs.

Two of the eight carry a published price and both are Lone Star Aviators. USD 2,300 for the whole aircraft on a seven seat Cessna Citation Ultra, tail N331BR, leaving on 23 November, and USD 4,400 on a nine seat Bombardier Challenger 300, tail N590MC, on 5 October.

The USD 2,100 between them is the aircraft and nothing else. Same operator, same sector, a light jet against a super midsize, 42 minutes against 36, and 91 per cent more money for the larger cabin. That is about as close to a like for like comparison as this corridor offers.

The other six say price on request, and that is a fact about those two operators rather than about this route. Executive Air Services has published no price on any of its 279 listings in our record and Jet OUT none on any of its 1,426. They will quote when you ask; we show nothing rather than guess.

Six of the eight publish a block time: 48 minutes on each of the three Gulfstream G-IVSP legs and on the Beechjet 400, 42 on the Citation Ultra and 36 on the Challenger 300. The two Jet OUT legs publish none, so two rows below have no time in the air.

Nassau back to Miami is in our record at five movements, two operators and five aircraft types with two of them priced, and it has no page yet. Ask the operator which Miami field the aircraft leaves from, whether the departure time can still move, and what the Bahamas arrival and departure charges add, because the published figure is the aircraft and not the trip.
