Why this route produces empty legs

Miami-Opa Locka Executive to Providenciales is about 505 nautical miles, and the seven legs here that publish a block time give one hour twenty four or one hour thirty minutes. Every one of the twelve arrives at Providenciales, which is the only airport in Turks and Caicos that appears in any listing we have recorded.

Seven of the twelve legs belong to one operator, Executive Air Services, and all seven leave from Opa-locka. All seven are one of two aircraft that are nearly the same machine: a seven seat Beechjet 400A and a seven seat Nextant 400XT, the Nextant being a remanufactured Beechjet. So more than half this corridor is one operator moving small aircraft back and forth, not seven separate opportunities on seven different aeroplanes.

The other five legs come from three other operators and four of them are substantially larger aircraft. Thrive Aviation listed a Citation Sovereign+, a Gulfstream G450 and a Gulfstream G600, and Global Air Charters a sixteen seat Gulfstream GV out of Miami International rather than Opa-locka. The fifth is an eight seat Citation CJ4 from Jet OUT. If you need more than seven seats these five are the only ones here that could do it, and on the three Thrive Aviation legs no seat count is published at all.

The Miami end moves about, the island end never does. Eight of the twelve leave Opa-locka Executive, one leaves Miami International, and three name only Miami with no field given. All twelve land at Providenciales. The computed distance on this page uses Opa-locka to Providenciales, the pair that eight of the twelve actually used.

When they show up

Twelve legs on eleven dates between 14 August and 29 November 2026. They trickle rather than cluster, and they stop for long stretches: the longest gap is the six weeks between 28 September and 9 November, and the only doubled date is 28 September, when Executive Air Services listed a Beechjet and a Nextant for the same day.

Four were on the board when this page was built and one had already been withdrawn. Notice on this corridor is wide rather than short. The legs went up between nought and sixty four days before departure, so refreshing the page is a poor way to catch one and the route alert below is a better one.

The route on a map

Approximate corridor between Miami and Turks and Caicos. Operators fly the sector direct; the airports each listing uses are shown on the flight itself.

The airports on this route

Opa-locka and Providenciales are both quick on the ground, which is most of what a ninety minute sector has going for it. Providenciales is the only Turks and Caicos airport any of these operators list, so if you are heading for Grand Turk, South Caicos or North Caicos, the hop at the far end is a separate arrangement you make yourself.

Every leg we have on record for this route

Between 31 July and 18 October 2026 we recorded 12 empty legs from Miami to Turks and Caicos. None of them carried a published price: every operator on this corridor lists it on request. Seven of the twelve publish a block time, one hour thirty minutes on five of them and one hour twenty four on two, and nine publish a seat count between seven and sixteen. None publishes a tail number.

This is a record, not availability. These are the legs we saw on this corridor in that window, kept so the route has a history you can judge it by. None of them is bookable from this table. What is actually open right now is the live list above, and if it is empty the route alert is the way to catch the next one.

Before you book

No operator on this corridor publishes a price. All twelve legs say price on request, so the figure comes from the operator when you ask, and we show nothing rather than guess at one.

That is these four operators' practice, not a comment on the route. Executive Air Services publishes no figure on any of its 478 listings on this board across 182 city pairs. Thrive Aviation publishes none on any of its 1,518, Jet OUT none on any of its 1,797, and Global Air Charters none on any of its 436. Those four account for every leg here, which is why the price column is empty from top to bottom.

Nine of the twelve publish a seat count: seven seats on each of the Executive Air Services legs, eight on the Jet OUT Citation CJ4 and sixteen on the Global Air Charters Gulfstream GV. Seven publish a block time. None publishes a tail number.

Ask the operator which Miami field you are leaving from, whether the departure time can still move, and what happens to the empty leg if the paid flight behind it falls through. This is an international sector, so passports and the Turks and Caicos entry requirements apply exactly as they would on a scheduled flight.
