One way empty legs between Sarasota and Miami, exactly as the operators list them. Prices are the operator's own, not a marked up quote.
Straight line distance between the two cities. Actual routing and flight time depend on the aircraft and the airports.
Sarasota sits on the Gulf coast and Miami on the Atlantic, about 150 nautical miles apart across the width of Florida. On our board the two are closely tied: Sarasota appears on 14 legs in total and 7 of them involve Miami. Nothing else comes near, and the next busiest partner is Milwaukee with three.
The flow runs almost entirely one way. Six of those seven legs went Sarasota to Miami and only one came back. From the Miami end it is a corridor that matters as well: Miami touches 155 legs on our board and spreads them across more partners than any other city we track, and Sarasota is its joint busiest partner alongside Manassas at seven each.
Sparsely, and with no pattern. Six legs in four weeks, listed by three different operators that have nothing to do with each other. Most corridors on our board belong to a single operator working a fixed rotation; this one does not, so the listings appear independently and an alert is the only practical way to catch them.
The notice varies wildly. The Citation CJ4 for 6 September went on the board on 3 August, five weeks ahead, while the two August legs were listed within days of flying. Three of the six have already flown and three are still forward dated, all in the first week of September.
Approximate corridor between Sarasota and Miami. Operators fly the sector direct; the airports each listing uses are shown on the flight itself.
Five of the six listings name only the city at the Miami end. Opa-locka is the field the sixth names and the usual answer for private traffic, but Miami has three fields that take it and they are a long way apart, so it is worth confirming before you arrange the drive.
Between 31 July and 29 August 2026 we recorded 6 empty legs from Sarasota to Miami. None of them carried a published price: every operator on this corridor lists it on request. Each one was about forty minutes in the air, on a King Air B200, a Citation Sovereign+ or a Citation CJ4.
| Departure | Aircraft | Seats | Operator's published price | Status |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 4 Aug 2026 | King Air B200 | 8 | On request | Already flown |
| 5 Aug 2026 | King Air B200 | 8 | On request | Already flown |
| 28 Aug 2026 | Citation Sovereign+ | Not stated | On request | Already flown |
| 4 Sept 2026 | Citation Sovereign+ | Not stated | On request | On the board now |
| 5 Sept 2026 | Citation Sovereign+ | Not stated | On request | On the board now |
| 6 Sept 2026 | Citation CJ4 | 8 | On request | On the board now |
The price on a card is the operator's figure for the whole aircraft. What that comes to per seat, across every type we see, is in how much an empty leg private jet costs.
No operator on this corridor publishes a price. All six legs say price on request, so the figure comes from the operator when you ask, and we show nothing rather than guess.
Not everything here is a jet. Two of the six legs are a King Air B200, a turboprop with eight seats, and over a sector of about forty minutes that gives away very little to a jet. The other four were Citations, a Sovereign+ three times and a CJ4 once.
Three of the six publish a seat count, all of them eight. Ask the operator three things: whether the departure time can still move, what happens if the paid flight that created this empty leg falls through, and which Miami field you are landing at.
Sarasota to Miami empty legs are posted days ahead, not months. Leave your email and we watch both directions for you, Sarasota to Miami and Miami to Sarasota, and send you nothing else.
