One way empty legs between Miami and Islip, exactly as the operators list them. The operator confirms availability and the price with you directly.
Straight line distance between the two cities. Actual routing and flight time depend on the aircraft and the airports.
Miami-Opa Locka Executive to Long Island Mac Arthur is about 965 nautical miles, and the listings here give two hours 48 minutes on nine of them and two hours 42 on the tenth. Islip sits on the south shore in the middle of Long Island, which makes it the Florida arrival for people going to Long Island rather than into Manhattan.
The empty direction is northbound, and the season explains it. Nine of the ten legs are dated between 1 December 2026 and 1 February 2027. We hold ten records running north on this corridor against five running south. Aircraft carry people down to Florida for the winter and go home to Long Island empty, which is the whole reason a corridor like this appears on an empty leg board at all.
One operator and one aircraft doing almost all of it. Executive Fliteways accounts for all ten legs, and nine of them are the same Embraer Legacy 650 with thirteen seats. The tenth, in September, is a Gulfstream G550 with fourteen. The operator publishes no price on any of its 247 listings on this board.
Islip's two largest sources are both Florida fields. Ten of the 83 arrivals we have recorded into Islip came from Miami, second only to Stuart at fifteen. That is what this corridor is: Long Island based aircraft working the Florida season and repositioning home.
Ten legs on ten separate dates. One in September, then nine between 1 December 2026 and 1 February 2027, several of them in pairs a day or two apart: 1 and 2 December, 12 December, 9 and 12 January, 22 and 23 January, and 30 January with 1 February.
Five of the nine winter legs were still on the board when this page was built and four had been withdrawn. On a corridor posted three months ahead that is ordinary churn rather than a sign the flying has stopped. The single September leg has flown.
Approximate corridor between Miami and Islip. Operators fly the sector direct; the airports each listing uses are shown on the flight itself.
Islip is the right arrival for Long Island and the wrong one for Manhattan: it sits well east of the city, and the road in runs the length of the island. If the destination is the city rather than the island, Teterboro and Westchester County are the fields that traffic uses, and neither appears on this corridor at all.
Between 31 July and 16 October 2026 we recorded 10 empty legs from Miami to Islip. None of them carried a published price: every operator on this corridor lists it on request. All ten publish a seat count and a block time: thirteen seats and two hours 48 minutes on the nine Embraer Legacy 650 legs, fourteen seats and two hours 42 on the Gulfstream G550. None publishes a tail number.

The price on a card is the operator's figure for the whole aircraft. What that comes to per seat, across every type we see, is in how much an empty leg private jet costs.
Not one of the ten legs carries a published price. Executive Fliteways publishes no figure on any of its 247 listings on this board, across 117 city pairs, so the price comes from the operator when you ask and we print nothing rather than guess.
Every listing does publish the cabin and the block time: thirteen seats and two hours 48 minutes on the nine Embraer Legacy 650 legs, fourteen seats and two hours 42 on the single Gulfstream G550. None publishes a tail number.
Nine of the ten are the same aircraft on dates between December and February, so when one date does not suit, the next is usually a week or two away rather than months. That is the argument for setting the route alert rather than coming back to refresh this page.
Whatever the operator quotes is for the whole aircraft and not a seat. Ask whether the departure time can still move, what happens if the paid southbound flight that created the empty return falls through, and whether the aircraft could drop you at Republic or Teterboro instead if Islip is the wrong end of Long Island for you.
Miami to Islip empty legs are posted days ahead, not months. Leave your email and we watch both directions for you, Miami to Islip and Islip to Miami, and send you nothing else.
