Why this route produces empty legs

Naples to Miami is about 80 nautical miles straight across the bottom of the peninsula, and the six legs here that publish a block time are listed at either 30 or 36 minutes. It is one of the shortest corridors on this site, and the same pair in reverse is the other half of it.

Naples Municipal sends 237 recorded movements to 105 destinations. Opa-locka Executive is joint fifth of them at seven, level with Venice, behind Chicago Executive at eleven, DuPage at ten and Dallas and Toronto at nine each. Four of Naples's six busiest destinations are outside Florida, Chicago Executive, DuPage, Dallas and Toronto, which is not what a short hop across the state would suggest.

Into the other end, Opa-locka Executive takes 230 recorded arrivals from 105 origins, and Naples is joint fourth at seven, level with Teterboro and Sarasota, behind Tampa and Milwaukee at ten each and Manassas at eight. The reverse direction runs ten against these seven, so Miami to Naples is the busier half of the pair and has its own page.

Five of the seven legs are Executive Air Services, which has 290 recorded movements with us across seven aircraft types, 246 of them touching Opa-locka, and publishes neither a price nor a tail number on any of them. The sixth is Naples Jet Center, whose entire record with us is 29 legs of one aircraft, an Embraer Phenom 100. The seventh is Shoreline Aviation, and it is one of only four Shoreline movements we hold anywhere.

When they show up

Every one of the seven was still on the board when this page was built. That is unusual here and it is a function of how far out the corridor is listed rather than of demand: seven movements on seven dates running from 6 October 2026 to 7 June 2027, with four of them in 2026 and the last of them eight months ahead.

Notice splits in two. Six of the seven were first seen between 8 and 22 September 2026, which gave the June 2027 listing more than eight months of lead time. The seventh, the Shoreline Aviation Citation XLS+, appeared on 5 October for a 6 October departure, one day out. So the corridor produces both kinds of leg, the long planned reposition and the overnight one, and only the alert catches the second kind.

The airports on this route

Both ends are fixed in our record, Naples Municipal on every departure and Opa-locka on every arrival, so there is no field to settle on either side. What is worth settling is the drive. Opa-locka is north of Miami and quick for Miami Beach, Aventura and Fort Lauderdale, and slow for anywhere south of the river. On a flight of half an hour the road at the far end is the longer part of the trip. Miami back to Naples runs ten recorded legs against these seven and has its own page.

This is a record, not availability. These are the legs we have recorded on this corridor, read when you opened this page, kept so the route has a history you can judge it by. None of them is bookable from this table. What is actually open right now is the live list above, and if it is empty the route alert is the way to catch the next one.

Naples to Miami in the record

Every leg we have recorded between Naples and Miami, in either direction, since 30 July 2026, whether it is still on the board or not. A leg leaves the board when the operator stops publishing it, and we cannot tell from outside whether it was sold or withdrawn, so these are counts of what was listed, not of what flew.

Legs by departure month

One bar per calendar month, from the first month in our record to the furthest date an operator has published so far. Grey bars are months already past, gold is this month and the months ahead. A blank month is a month we have no record for, and before August 2026 that means we were not yet recording. The months ahead hold only what operators have published up to now, and most empty legs appear days or weeks before departure, so those bars will keep growing. The shape says how far ahead operators publish, not how busy a month will be.

Each row is a pair of airports as the operator named them, in the direction flown. Both directions of the corridor are counted. An operator that names only the city leaves us the city, which is why some rows are city names.

Before you book

The price on a card is the operator's figure for the whole aircraft. What that comes to per seat, across every type we see, is in how much an empty leg private jet costs.

No operator on this corridor publishes a price. Executive Air Services has published a figure on none of its 290 recorded movements, Naples Jet Center on none of its 29 and Shoreline Aviation on none of its four. That is 323 listings between the three of them and not one price, so the figure comes from the operator when you ask and we show nothing rather than guess.

None of the three publishes a tail number either. What they do publish on every leg is the aircraft type and the seat count, and on six of the seven a block time, so the cabin is the one thing you can line up before you ring.

On cabin the corridor is split at the extremes. Four of the seven are Gulfstreams at nine to fourteen seats, a G-IVSP twice, a G200 and a G-V. The other three are a seven seat Beechjet 400A, an eight seat Citation XLS+ and a six seat Phenom 100. There is a light jet and there is a heavy jet and almost nothing in the middle.

Ask the operator what the whole aircraft figure is, whether a date this far out can still move, and what happens if the paid flight that created this empty leg falls through. On a 30 minute sector it is also worth asking how the figure is built, because the aircraft still has to be crewed and handled at both ends however short the flight is.
