Why this route produces empty legs

Naples is one of the strangest nodes on our board. It sends 264 listings to 99 destinations and takes only 113 arrivals from 53 origins, which makes it a net exporter of empty legs by more than two to one. Very few fields in our record are that lopsided. Aircraft come into Naples full, with people arriving for the season or the weekend, and a great many of them have to leave again with nobody on board.

Teterboro is joint tenth of those 99 destinations at six listings on four dates, and the reverse direction barely exists: Teterboro to Naples is a single listing on a single date against these six. That one to six ratio is the corridor in one number. Teterboro is the busiest arrival point on our whole board, 397 arrivals from 128 origins, so these six barely register at the New York end while being a meaningful share of what leaves Naples.

The sector is about 960 nautical miles and the listings put it at two hours eighteen to two hours 36, which makes this one of the longer corridors on this site with a page. It is also unusually well documented for its size: four operators, four aircraft types, and all six legs publishing a type, a seat count and a block time. Only Northeastern Aviation's Challenger 605 and Hera Flight's listings withhold a tail number.

The cabins run from seven seats to sixteen, and the largest is also the fastest. Pegasus Elite Aviation's sixteen seat Gulfstream GIV-SP, tail N509CQ, is listed at two hours eighteen, eighteen minutes quicker than SC Aviation's eight seat Beechcraft Hawker 800XP over the same ground. On a sector this long that difference is real rather than rounding, and it is the one leg on the corridor that was still on the board when this page was built.

When they show up

Six movements on four dates, 15 September to 20 October 2026, and half of them fall on one day. Jetvia listed three separate Bombardier Learjet 60s, tails N208BH, N600SJ and N600AJ, all for 11 October and all at the same USD 14,400. Three tails on one date is a fleet moving south to north together rather than a timetable, and the page shows all three rather than collapsing them.

Notice was better here than on most corridors, which is what a 960 nautical mile sector looks like: people plan these. The Pegasus Gulfstream was listed 33 days ahead, the three Jetvia Learjets 23 to 25 days ahead, and only the two September legs were short notice, at four days for the Hawker 800XP and two for the Challenger 605. Five of the six have now flown or come off the board, and the 20 October Gulfstream was the one still listed.

The route on a map

The airports on this route

Both ends of this corridor are fixed in our record, Naples Municipal on every departure and Teterboro on every arrival, so there is no field choice to ask about. Naples also sends four listings to Westchester County, so if the northern suburbs suit you better than Manhattan that is worth asking about separately. Teterboro operates under a weight limit and a curfew, which is worth confirming on the sixteen seat Gulfstream in particular. The distance on this page is computed from the two ICAO codes on the listings rather than from any coordinates stored with them.

This is a record, not availability. These are the legs we have recorded on this corridor, read when you opened this page, kept so the route has a history you can judge it by. None of them is bookable from this table. What is actually open right now is the live list above, and if it is empty the route alert is the way to catch the next one.

Naples to Teterboro in the record

Every leg we have recorded between Naples and Teterboro, in either direction, since 30 July 2026, whether it is still on the board or not. A leg leaves the board when the operator stops publishing it, and we cannot tell from outside whether it was sold or withdrawn, so these are counts of what was listed, not of what flew.

Legs by departure month

One bar per calendar month, from the first month in our record to the furthest date an operator has published so far. Grey bars are months already past, gold is this month and the months ahead. A blank month is a month we have no record for, and before August 2026 that means we were not yet recording. The months ahead hold only what operators have published up to now, and most empty legs appear days or weeks before departure, so those bars will keep growing. The shape says how far ahead operators publish, not how busy a month will be.

Each row is a pair of airports as the operator named them, in the direction flown. Both directions of the corridor are counted. An operator that names only the city leaves us the city, which is why some rows are city names.

Before you book

The price on a card is the operator's figure for the whole aircraft. What that comes to per seat, across every type we see, is in how much an empty leg private jet costs.

Three of the six carry a published price and all three are the same figure: USD 14,400 for the whole aircraft, on each of three Jetvia Bombardier Learjet 60s listed for 11 October. One figure repeated three times is not a range, so this page states it once rather than printing it as though it were a spread.

Those three are useful despite being identical, because they are three different airframes priced the same by one operator for the same day and the same sector. That tells you the number is the operator's rate for the route rather than a reaction to one aircraft's position. Jetvia publishes a price on 1,648 of its 1,743 listings and a tail number on all of them, so it is consistent to a fault. It is worth knowing that every single Jetvia listing in our record is a Learjet 60, so the type on these three rows is not a coincidence.

The other three carry no price and that is house policy, not a gap in this route. SC Aviation has published a price on none of its 55 listings, Northeastern Aviation on none of its 297, and Pegasus Elite Aviation on none of its 83. All three do publish a block time, and SC Aviation and Pegasus publish a tail number, so you can identify the aircraft without knowing the cost.

The Gulfstream GIV-SP is the one worth ringing about. Sixteen seats, the fastest block time on the corridor at two hours eighteen, no published figure, and the only leg that was live when this page was built. Naples to Teterboro also has companions worth comparing against on this site: Naples to Dallas and Naples to Toronto are the same field going elsewhere. Ask the operator whether the figure covers the whole aircraft or a part charter, whether the Teterboro slot can move, and what happens if the paid flight that created this empty leg falls through.
