Why this route produces empty legs

Phoenix to Las Vegas is about 210 nautical miles from Phoenix Deer Valley, which is the departure on five of the six legs here that name a field, and the four legs that publish a block time say 48 or 54 minutes.

Las Vegas is where traffic leaving Phoenix goes. Our record holds 43 legs out of Phoenix and ten of them end in Las Vegas, twice the next destination, Van Nuys on five, with Aspen third on three. For a city this size that is a short list, and it says Phoenix is a quiet origin on our board rather than a quiet airport.

From the Las Vegas end it is a modest inbound corridor. Ten of the 404 legs we have recorded into Las Vegas leave Phoenix, behind Van Nuys on 25, Scottsdale on 23, Aspen and Denver on 13 each and Page on 12. Scottsdale is the same metropolitan area and more than twice the traffic, which is worth knowing before you set an alert on this one.

Three of the ten legs fall on one day. On 12 October three different Bombardier Learjet 60 tail numbers from Jetvia were listed on this corridor, two at USD 5,400 and one on request. That is a single operator offering its fleet rather than three independent repositionings, and it is why the leg count here is higher than the number of travel days.

When they show up

Ten legs on eight separate dates between 18 August and 31 October 2026. Six of the ten fall in October and four of those are on 11 and 12 October from one operator, so the dates are lumpier than the total suggests.

Two were still on the board when this page was built, a Prestige Air Group Beechcraft Premier I on 25 October and a Thrive Aviation Gulfstream G450 on 31 October. The other eight have already flown, and nothing on this corridor has come off the board without flying.

The airports on this route

Deer Valley is the quicker of the two Phoenix fields on the ground and suits the north of the valley; Sky Harbor is the one to ask for if you are coming from downtown Phoenix or Tempe. The four Thrive Aviation legs name no field at either end, so on those the airport is a question for the operator.

Every leg we have on record for this route

Between 31 July and 14 October 2026 we recorded 10 empty legs from Phoenix to Las Vegas. Four of them carried a published price, two at USD 4,000 and two at USD 5,400 for the whole aircraft. The other six say on request: four from Thrive Aviation, which publishes no price on anything, and two Jetvia Learjets. Four of the ten publish a block time, 54 minutes on the two Prestige Air Group legs and 48 on two of the Jetvia Learjets. Six publish a seat count, six or seven. The four Thrive Aviation legs publish neither.

This is a record, not availability. These are the legs we saw on this corridor in that window, kept so the route has a history you can judge it by. None of them is bookable from this table. What is actually open right now is the live list above, and if it is empty the route alert is the way to catch the next one.

Before you book

Four of the ten legs carry a published price: two at USD 4,000 and two at USD 5,400 for the whole aircraft. The USD 4,000 pair are Prestige Air Group Beechcraft Premiers with six seats, the USD 5,400 pair Jetvia Learjet 60s with seven.

Neither figure is specific to this corridor. Prestige Air Group's USD 4,000 appears on 83 of its recorded listings across 57 different city pairs, and Jetvia's USD 5,400 on 104 listings across 58 pairs. They are what those operators charge for those aircraft wherever they fly them.

Six legs carry no price. Four are Thrive Aviation, which publishes a figure on none of the 1,292 listings we have recorded from it and no seat count, block time, tail number or airport on these four either. The other two are Jetvia Learjets listed on 11 and 12 October, and they are the same aircraft on consecutive days.

Ask which Las Vegas field you are landing at, whether the departure time can still move, and what happens if the paid flight that created the empty leg falls through. Prices here are in US dollars as the operator published them, for the whole aircraft, never per seat.
